PlayStation Network Terms of Service

The following Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the PlayStation Network (“PSN”) and the services and products we offer through the PSN (collectively, “Services”). By using the PSN, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Introduction

The PSN is a network of interconnected systems and platforms that provides various online services, including online gaming, game downloads, streaming media services, and social networking features. PSN is operated by Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc. and its affiliates (“SIE”).

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using the PSN, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the PSN.

3. Modifications to Terms

SIE reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time without notice. Such modifications will be effective immediately upon posting on the PSN. Your continued use of the PSN after modifications have been posted will be deemed acceptance of the modified Terms.

4. User Conduct

You agree to use the PSN in a responsible and lawful manner, consistent with these Terms and the Community Code of Conduct. You shall not:

• Engage in any conduct that is illegal, harmful, threatening, or harassing;
• Use the PSN for any commercial purpose or to promote any product or service;
• Share or disclose your account information or other private information without permission;
• Engage in any activity that may interfere with the operation of the PSN or compromise its security;
• Upload, post, or distribute any content that is offensive, harmful, or illegal;
• Violate the intellectual property rights of SIE or third parties;
• Engage in any behavior that SIE determines, in its sole discretion, is unacceptable or in violation of these Terms.

5. Account Registration

To use the PSN, you must register for a PSN account (“Account”). You agree to provide accurate and complete information during the registration process. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Account password and ensuring that no unauthorized person uses your Account.

6. Fees and Charges

Some Services may require a subscription or require you to make additional payments. You agree to pay any fees or charges associated with your use of the PSN, as well as any applicable taxes.

7. Content

The PSN may provide access to various types of content, including but not limited to games, movies, TV shows, and live events. You agree to use the PSN and access content only for personal, non-commercial use.

8. Ownership and Intellectual Property

SIE and its licensees retain all ownership and intellectual property rights to the PSN and all content available on the PSN. You shall not reproduce, modify, or distribute such content except as specifically authorized by SIE or its licensees.

9. Termination

SIE reserves the right to terminate your Account and your access to the PSN at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice. You may also cancel your Account at any time.

10. Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, U.S.A., without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law. Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or related to these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

11. Limitation of Liability

SIE shall not be liable to you or any third party for any special, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including, but not limited to, loss of data, loss of business, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the PSN.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, U.S.A., without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.

13. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and SIE regarding the PSN and supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements, understandings, or representations, whether written or oral.

14. Amendments

SIE reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time without notice. Such amendments will be effective immediately upon posting on the PSN. Your continued use of the PSN will be deemed acceptance of the amended Terms.

By using the PlayStation Network, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the PSN.
